Who We Are and What We Do

NEOhaus is a non-profit 501-3c collaborative in the Akron, Ohio area that develops cutting-edge, affordable and practical green building projects to stimulate economic development in the urban core.

We build single-family eco-homes, develop community sustainability projects and serve as project managers for urban ecovillage neighborhoods and districts.

NEIGHBORHOOD PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM

The new
MASON PARK Community Garden

NEOhaus built a community garden this summer at Mason Park with generous assistance from a Neighborhood Partnership Project Grant from the City of Akron and Akron Community Foundation.

Thank you to the 13 families that signed up and the faithful watering crew keeping the garden growing!

Eighteen container gardens were built, filled with topsoil and mulch, and planted with an array of vegetables and herbs.  A wooden crate storage shed holds the hose and garden tools and the City of Akron tapped the school's fire hydrant for a water source.
